Galicia Praza de María Pita na Coruña
Trala destrución das murallas, constrúese en tres fases: de 1860 a 1885 o lado sur; de 1865 a 1926 refórmanse as vivendas, o terceiro andar convértese en galería, e colócaselle unha bufarda; de 1926 a 1958, fanse os primeiros edificios en formigón e remátase. Ten forma cadrada, mide 111,20 mts de lado e está presidida polo Palacio Municipal. Presenta un soportal corrido e patio porticado para o paso, polo que se relaciona máis coas prazas reais francesas que coas castelás. As fachadas están moduladas mediante piares almofadados e pilastras. O primeiro andar ten balcóns corridos e o segundo individuais. O terceiro piso presenta galería, e o último, bufarda corrida con tellado a dúas augas. Mostra un xogo xeométrico realizado por medio de lastros e granito ao que, no ano 1998, se lle coloca, mirando cara ao Palacio Municipal, unha estatua de María Pita realizada en bronce.
