New airline for Saarbrücken - Hurghada: First flight welcome ceremony for Freebird Airlines Europe
Today (8.11.), Saarbrücken Airport welcomed the airline Freebird Airlines Europe with the traditional first flight ceremony. In future, the airline will operate the route between Saarbrücken and Hurghada in Egypt.
As of November 8, Freebird Airlines Europe, among others for TUI, will be taking over the weekly travel service between Saarbrücken and the Egyptian resort of Hurghada during the winter flight schedule (Nov. '23 - Mar. '24).
Sven Winterstein (Head of Flight Planning & Purchasing, TUI Germany) and Thomas Schuck (Managing Director, Saarbrücken Airport) jointly welcomed the airline's first flight from Hurghada, which landed punctually at 11.45 a.m. in an Airbus A320.
"Vacation trips to Hurghada have been in high demand so far. With TUI's Freebird offer, we can now offer our guests the Saarbrücken-Hurghada route for the first time in the winter flight schedule. This gives Saarbrücken Airport another tourist highlight as a weekly direct connection," says Airport Managing Director Thomas Schuck.
"Flying directly from Saarbrücken is an invaluable advantage for many holidaymakers - so we are all the more pleased that Freebird Europe, a well-known and popular vacation airline, is flying from Ensheim," adds Sven Winterstein from TUI.
