Rock tombs of Myra
Once known as Myra, the mountainous town of Demre is now not only a famous pilgrimage site, but also a highlight for many visitors who want to visit the imposing rock tombs.
Aspendos amphitheater
You don't have to travel to Rome, Verona or Pula, Aspendos is just a few kilometers east of Antalya. Currently you can find here the best preserved ancient theater in the world, built by the Romans in the 2nd century AD. It has room for 17,000 visitors and in 2005 the open-air edition of the ZDF show "Wetten dass....?" also took place here.

Hadrian's Gate, the city's landmark, was built more than 1800 years ago for the visit of the Roman Emperor Hadrian.
