Saarbrücken Airport (SCN), with its attractive range of scheduled and charter flights, is one of 16 international commercial airports in Germany. It is located in the heart of the greater SaarLorLux region in the immediate vicinity of France, Luxembourg and Rhineland-Palatinate.
The SCN scores points with its short distances for passengers. Other plus points are the competent staff, the good transport connections and the parking spaces and multi-storey parking lot, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the terminal.
A General Aviation Terminal, including a comfortable lounge and flight preparation room for pilots, is available for business and private flights.
Air traffic control at SCN is the responsibility of German Air Traffic Control and is carried out via Remote Tower Control.
SCN is one of the first airports in Europe to have an EMAS system at the western end of the runway. This provides an additional safety bonus.
Saarbrücken Airport is operated by Flug-Hafen-Saarland GmbH, whose sole shareholder is Saarland.
