Passes & Vignettes - Saarbrücken Airport

General

Authorization from Flug-Hafen-Saarland GmbH is required to enter or drive into the security area/sensitive part of the security area. As proof of authorization, Airport ID Cards or vehicle vignettes are issued by Flug-Hafen-Saarland GmbH.

In addition to proof of a legitimate reason, basic requirements for the issuance of Airport ID Cards are for persons who wish to enter the sensitive part of the security area unaccompanied:

A valid background check
An aviation security training in accordance with 11.2.6. pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/1998

Persons who do not have a valid background check and/or aviation security training in accordance with 11.2.6 of the Annex to the NLSP may enter the security area/sensitive part of the security area only when accompanied by an authorized person.

Application process

Filling out the ID card or vignette application in electronic form(interactive PDF form)
Sending the application incl. corresponding attachments (except background check) to the e-mail address: security@scn-airport.de or to the address:

Sending of the new application of the background check (original) of all proofs and, if applicable, of the existing and valid background check (of another federal state in the FRG) by post to the above address or personal delivery
After submission of all required documents or return of the ZÜP, the Airport Security Department will arrange an appointment with you for the issuance of the ID card or vehicle vignette; the rules of the ID Card and Airport User Regulations in the current version continue to apply.

Explanations and notes on the application for a background check (ZÜP)

The positive classification of your reliability by the aviation security authority is a prerequisite for unlimited / unescorted access in the security area.

Special reference is made to the completeness of the following items/attachments to be added:

Indication of main and secondary residences in the last 10 years
Indication of longer periods of absence (more than 28 days) within the last 5 years = if given, a police clearance certificate/no-crime certificate of the respective state with certificate of authenticity is to be attached

Complete presentation of employment relationships, training and further education periods, school and absenteeism periods over the last 5 years, including evidence by means of suitable proofs, e.g.
- Testimonials
- Certificate of health insurance with details of employers or service providers
- Wage statements, employment contracts
- Certificate from the Federal Employment Agency
Copy of identity card or passport
Date and signature of the applicant and company
