16 airport employees successfully completed a newly designed qualification as Ground Service Agent
In the past two years, 16 airport employees successfully completed the certificate course for "Ground Service Agent" in civil aviation. They received the corresponding certificates from the two managing directors Rita Gindorf-Wagner and Thomas Schuck on Thursday, April 20. The course is innovative and was specially developed and introduced by Saarbrücken Airport in cooperation with the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Jürgen Tilk attended the small ceremony on behalf of the IHK.
The management highlighted the commitment and willingness to in-house training among the airport's female employees. "This is the only way we can permanently guarantee the safety and quality that characterize the work at our airport. Staff qualification is thus an investment in the future of the airport," Thomas Schuck emphasized. He also thanked the trainers, who also come from the ranks of the airport staff. Namely, these were Eberhard Uhl, Jannik Eberhardt, Daniel Fischer, Patrick Köhn, Christina Woll, Oliver Kiefer, Marius Mohr, Kai Gramsch, Thomas Kuntz, Eric Schmidt, Georg Schneider, Sven Gerstner, Andreas Matt and Frank Uhl.
The objective of the course was to provide further training in the field of civil aviation in order to ensure professional competence and responsibility with regard to operational tasks in the handling of aircraft.
In terms of content, the focus was on special "near-the-job" and "on-the-job" training procedures. Specifically, the induction and training period for new employees was systematized and optimized, and the knowledge and skills of existing employees were updated so that all work processes and procedures in ground handling services can be carried out professionally and in accordance with the special safety requirements that apply here.
The successful participants for 2022 were Lukas Bläs, Alexander Blaß, Sven Carstens, Daniel Christopher Fischer, Michael Macke, Sascha Preußner, Karsten Schenk, Patrik Zell and Christina Woll. 2023 graduates were Jannik Eberhardt, Marc-Sebastian Klein, Denis Blaha, Mirko Schuff, Robert Sahner, Marco Philippi and Jörg Frank Amberger.
